Watch out for Adam
By · Comments
Everyone meet Adam. He’ll put any skater to shame and will awe any and everyone around him. At 6 years old, I don’t know what to teach him that does not involve complex theories. You see, he learns by sight and you will need to keep doing it for him to really master the skill. He has almost completed everything possible in the student’s handbook and at his level of understanding, it’s a challenge to teach him the high level skills(which he has already started learning)
While it takes a lot of patience and energy to teach him. He never fails to brighten your day. ![]()
I hope he doesn’t ever give up this sport.
Strap for the GPS Sensor
By · CommentsI got a request from someone on how to hook up the strap to the GPS unit. The arm goes thru the hole.

Something different..
By · CommentsThis week I wanted to try different stuffs. To come out of the box and be different, not to make loud statements or do evil stuffs
but just to break out of the norm.
So I embarked on working on different locations. Yeap, you see my little room is very small, while I love being alone in a 4 by 4 cell, everyone would appreciate a change of scenery once in a while. So I took my lame Dell laptop and sat wherever I felt like. I sat on the steps to the backdoor, I sat in the retail outlet downstairs and I even sat in the next door coffee shop for an hour. Not everywhere had internet access, I was just in search for a different place to sit at, an hour or two made a huge difference.
While some colleagues found me weird, some knew I was stuck in the room for too long while others just wanted to be right on their wild guesses. Either way, I had no specific reason to sit in different places, I just needed to get out of the norm.
First right, now left
By · CommentsMy right knee crapped out on me during my last full marathon. After that I went in search for a remedy/cure. From pills to different knee support. Then I found Bauerfeind. I’ve been running with it without fail. And everytime, my right knee felt good after the run, without the pain I could work on the other details. Recently, after much research, I got a new pair of shoes. I stopped using the Bauerfeind(Genutrain) and miraculously my right knee seemed to have healed.
All seems well till the recent run, now my left knee seems to be taking the same path….
And I’m exactly one month away from my next 42km.

As long as advertisers pay for clicks, there will be click fraud. And the more people combat it, the more sophisticated the attacks become to get around the defenses that advertisers, search engines, and others put in place. But a recent click fraud ring discovered by click-fraud monitoring service Anchor Intelligence suggests that the practice is evolving to a scale never seen before. Read More→

Great insight on how the first and world’s largest marathon ever started! His passion and his determination to make it happen is reflected in this 96min documentary. Makes me wanna get up and run. Or I just wanna find an excuse to leave office.
Need For Speed @ HortPark
By · CommentsThe event was I think a success. Inline Culture did a great job in getting the sponsors and people down. While I think they would need to work on the finer details of each individual segments, I believe what’s most important that the participants had great fun!
Mifi
By · CommentsThe MiFi hotspot is a device backconnecting to the cellular 3G network and frontconnecting to local (up to 10m/30ft distance) Wi-Fi devices, creating a local “cloud” of high-speed Internet connectivity that can be shared between users and Wi-Fi devices such as laptops, cameras, gaming devices and multimedia players. The device can also be connected to a computer via a MicroUSB connection, though doing so disables the wireless feature.
While M1 has a notorious history of having unstable internet connectivity, it’ll be interesting on what Singtel and Starhub has up their sleeves to jump on the bandwagon.
Here’s a vid from the local guys (i wish only one was commentating)

Singapore has the lowest wages and domestic purchasing power among the Asian Tigers
By Eugene Yeo, Consultant Editor
The worldwide study conducted and released by UBS lately, titled “Price and Earnings 2009″ has some unflattering results for Singapore.
While our economy has the highest GDP (PPP) per capita in Asia at $49,288 according to a World Bank report (source: Wikipedia), our people do not enjoy a quality of life which commensurate with it.

Well, here it is again. Cars that really don’t look like they’re meant for the roads, audio setup that’s way off the chain and yes females who never fail to destroy the beautiful curves of the cars.
Wonder if I should go and try taking some pics…

By · CommentsWell, I finally went for the long overdue night skate with the rest, while I think skating in town requires much more speed, it was a good thing I had the company of a lil kid. Natasha was stuck with me, the nanny, for some good distance and I’m glad she was able to keep up.
Here’s the route we took. Easy peasy 10km, route was done possible by the Polar G3 GPS.
